Anant Sahu was born in 1974 in a village in Chhattisgarh, a central Indian state known for its primitive tribes and thick forests. Anant Sahu completed his education in fine art from Khairagarh Art University and Allahabad University, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is a well-known graphic artist, and has displayed his work in both national and international art shows.
Anant Sahu’s work reveals the darkness which lies between different worlds; something which Joseph Conrad expressed in his novel Heart of Darkness. Anant’s graphic images with their grotesque forms seem to disregard mainstream’s obsession with glittering illusion.
